Obviously I am far behind in the thread (again!), so not sure if there has been further clarification yet.
I found that to be very strange as well. No one types in a long link like that, character by character, you just copy the link from the address field in the browser and paste in to your target. And, it is not usual to add an "s" to make the link secure, since it wasn't.
So, the only thing that I can deduce is that Q copied the link as a secure link because Q has an account at the breitbart.com site with enhanced security features.
