She’s just mad that she fat and has no self control.
True, but it sounds like moving her was handled in a very insensitive manner.
Perhaps they need a Cargomaster to adjust the load as we had in the USAF.
well..when they’re not eating.
Right one overweight person is going to unbalance the plane, jeeze what baloney, and I guess intentionally embarrassing her was all for her own good too right?
I’ve been asked to move because of weight distribution and I weight 115 pounds. Yes, a few other passengers were also asked. Bulgarian Airlines.
Exit row...absolutely not. Buy 2 seats, absolutely yes........Stop whining.......another yes. Should have given her a bag of cookies and she would have been happy.
Back when I flew for business, and the plane was boarding, you look up and see that coming down the aisle and you and everybody else starts praying not here not here... Not to be rude, but a coach seat is 19” wide. Come on lady...
The article says nothing about whether or not she consumes more or less than 1kg of carbohydrates per month. If she consumes more than this then I have no sympathy for her. She seems to want to put the safety at risk of all her fellow passengers and unknown numbers of people on the ground.
What they really need to do is ask for body measurements when purchasing a seat (why not, guards finger you and xray you and see ya nekkid), and then it display the seats a person your size, can fit in and therefore, purchase. It can also show two-seat purchase options that would work for your dimensions.
At time of purchase in the conditions it says if you lie about your size to get a seat you cannot fit into without spilling into the other person, they can deny you passage. Or possibly put you into a larger open seat, if there is one and you want it, but you must pay the difference in cost of the seat, same day.
I suspect that is the problem.
Having seen a Beech commuter bounce its tail on the runway when the aircraft started to rotate. Loading had moved CG out of limits. It happens, that's why aircrew has to perform weight and balance calculations.
That lady is huge. She has much bigger problems than getting her feelings hurt while flying on an airplane.
Seriously rhat is a geeat idea...im damned tired or having morbidly obese people next to mw on a plane splling into my seat and asking to our the armrest up
It does to the degree that she's unbalanced...
She wants Delta to put her feelings above the safety of all the other passengers on the plane. The rule is simple: no seat belt extenders in the emergency row because they can become an entanglement and tripping hazard for people trying to escape.
Also her story about being able to fit without a seat belt extender if required is laughable. I watched the video and there is no way she physically could. Also, I would have grave doubts that she’s able to assist in an emergency with the door.
Ive been through that a dozen times or more on third world puddle jumpers...often they would weigh eveyome and we would atans around while the pilot made calculations and built a seating chart
...Manjee says she asked for a seat belt extender to be more comfortable when she sat down, even though she can do without one. It’s part of her routine when she’s traveling for business, along with picking an emergency exit row seat....
...Delta gave us this statement about the incident:
Delta sympathizes that this customer was asked to move by a flight attendant from an exit row seat so we could fully comply with FAA safety regulations that no customer in an exit row can use a seatbelt extender. We understand that this was disappointing to the customer and we have apologized and offered a token of our apology.
Delta’s company policy states that seat belt extenders cannot be used in the exit row due to the likelihood that the dangling strap may become a hazard for passengers attempting to exit the aircraft in the event of an emergency....
********************************************************************
Lets see...the FAA safety regulations require that NO PASSENGER WHO USES A SEAT BELT EXTENDER MAY SIT IN AN EXIT ROW.... and this customers routine when traveling is to PICK AN EXIT ROW SEAT AND TO ASK FOR A SEAT EXTENDER. My suspicious mind suspects that this customer knows her FAA regs and has been waiting for an eventual and foreseeable opportunity to hit the law suit settlement jackpot.
