My conclusion is that there was ONE actor in this tragedy. The ‘husband’ was driving. The ‘wife’ was probably screaming at her to slow down.
I don’t see both of them acting together. There were issues in this relationship that will probably never see the light of day.
Severe personality disorders and enabling led to this.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I hadn’t thought about the abusive ‘dominant’ partner doing this unabated. But I bet you’re right. With all the friends in denial or not being shown this aspect of the abuser. I wonder if we’ll ever find out what the true relationship dynamics were in this couple—short of a suicide note. Sad the kids paid the ultimate price.
