Russia's Tragic Abortion Tale

In 1920, under Bolshevik rule, Russia was the first country to legalize abortion up to birth without restrictions. The method by Lenin’s political faction was a way to destroy the family unit and to free women into the workforce. The Bolsheviks even designed the machine for suction abortions that is still used widely in abortion clinics across America. Joseph Stalin outlawed the practice in 1936, and it remained illegal in the country until after his death in 1953.

Until recently, Russian women reportedly had seven abortions over their lifetime. In 2003, BBC reported there were 13 abortions for every 10 live births; Reuters reported in 2009 that there were 73 abortions per 100 births in Russia.

In 2010, a United Nations report showed that the abortion rate in Russia was 37.4 abortions per 1000 women aged 15-44 years, the highest of any country represented in data collected by the UN.

“What floored me is that most moms brought their brought their kids [to abortion clinics],” said Rachel Flores, a California native and founder of Redeemed Lives International. She has traveled to parts of Russia and Europe sharing the message of hope and healing after abortion.

“These girls looked anywhere between 10 to 13 years of age. We saw the girls–there was numbness, but there were few that were just broken. I was floored that people just came and went.”

Most Russian women, Flores says, are ashamed to discuss abortion. Even pastors and leaders refuse to address the issue because their own wives have experienced abortion.

“I felt like I was really excavating hard ground, really hard ground,” Flores said.

Amidst concerns over the country’s low birthrate and high abortion rate, Russian lawmakers even suggested banning abortion completely. In 2013, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law that banned abortion advertising.

Why do you suppose they left it out?

Because they were looking to see how many gays there were amongst the senior population (we found one and he got disqualified for refusing to complete the questionnaire) and they wanted to establish a need for a "sex room," complete with stereo-phonic sound, sex toys and refreshments, and take their findings to the state house so that this "room" would be mandated for every nursing home in the state of Texas. Luckily they did not get that far.

The two major findings were what I mentioned previously - that Catholics tended to wait for marriage to be sexual and the biggest finding that over 90% of the women said that they didn't even think about sex anymore after their husbands died - neither of these findings where in the final report.

So, they ignored the fact that the vast majority of women, who make up the vast majority of people who are in nursing homes, were not even interested in even thinking of sex let alone making time to find a partner and go to the "sex room."

Luckily, children of the people being questioned sued the college. Don't know the outcome of the suit but it did put a real dent in the gerontology program at UT Southwestern.

The Bolsheviks were a European idea to begin with, not a Russian one. Half the original Bolsheviks and Communists hated Russians and were as intent on getting rid of Slavs as Hitler was.

Which explains why the Germans were so anxious to get Lenin back to Russia.

Absolutely. Seeing how Bolsheviks and Communists could sway crowds is why Hitler kept Ernst Ernst Röhm around in spite of his being a known pervert.

The SA could have toddled on at least a few more years ending up with a niche in the Nazi scheme of things and his pal Ernst would have been 'encouraged' to leave Germany and live elsewhere if things had gone the way Hitler wanted.

Röhm started complaining at SA rallies that Hitler and the Nazi party weren't delivering enough for "the masses' and that was what sealed his fate as it was exactly the same thing German Communists who fled the Nazis were saying in the foreign press.

Exactly, the SA basically wanted full government control of the means of production.

Hitler, knew that would be disastrous for his plans to rebuild the German War Machine, so, Röhm and company had to go.

Despite being praised by Putin in his early years...since he has passed away, Solzhenitsyn and his works barely register amongst the Russian public. In fact, some people accuse him of exagerrating his experiences in the GULAG and call him a traitor and a suck-up to the West...a plaque dedicated to him in Moscow was vandalized not too long ago.

Nevermind that Solzhenitsyn was equally critical of Western society...

“” “” While China has officially removed its one-child only policy””” “

One child policy was a sham. They had one child with a birth certificate and some others undocumented. It was common already decades ago.

Putin claims to be for all ethnic Russians everywhere but that is a lie because he is in favor of ethnic Russians being killed between conception and birth.

Russian babies deserve a better leader.
