Yep. In fact, it gets outdated first. Assembler is the basic way to talk to a processor. It is unique to a processor or a family of processors.

Nope, assembly language is just as valid as the day the machine was built. These days we put layers of “translation” programing to make it easier to program, but Assembler is just a single layer above machine language. Ones and zeros.

Would be fun to program that machine.
