I talked with my GP about lipo, lap band, bariatric, etc.
She was adamant that I not do it. According to her she just recently went to a convention of some sort and that one one of the topics.
According to her (I haven’t double checked) 90+% of people who do these are back to their original weight after 2 years.
If you are going to make lifestyle changes (I have — slowly so I make them permanent), you might as well just make the changes and let the weight go on it own — slower but surer.
But tumor is a great way to go! I bet that guy still has the weight off i 2 years! ;)
Only one I know, and I know about 30, has kept off the weight and she developed some kind of anemia from the whole thing and has to get regular transfusions.
They have a prescription pill called Contrave that they are prescribing now but I don’t know much about it.
Weight loss (the permanent kind) only happens with lifestyle change.
Another friend has lost quite a bit of weight by strict adherence to eliminating all forms of wheat!
Shes had various heart and gut issue and doctor told her that wheat might be a culprit to many of her health problems.
She now looks and feels great after 2 years of strictly avoidance of wheat.
