Actually, The Supreme Court declared atheism a religion.

And, it fits the 2nd and 4th definitions of "religion" on the

Evidently you need to adjust your reality testing on that score.

Atheism as a belief occupies the same neurophysiological and neuroanatomical space as any other religious belief. Frankly, political beliefs often do as well.

Atheism is a belief system, so in that sense it’s a religion. A belief. With less proof than theism to back it up, though...

It is a faithful belief in the absence of a deity. Not evidence based at all. Tried it, found I also don’t have enough faith to be an atheist. Saved by Grace through Faith in Christ Jesus!

Until you realize there’s no such thing as irreligious. It just depends on what you made your God.

Yes, the absence of religion, but the SCOTUS got confused, and treated Madeleine Murray's case as if it was a religion, and things went down hill from there.
