Don’t try it at home! lol
I was mostly kidding. Sometimes, doctors will prescribe heavy doses for low levels, I tend to just take the ones off the shelf.

It's hard to overdose. If you go out in summer in direct sunlight, your body can manufacture 20,000 IU of it in about half an hour or so. So obviously a dose of that size isn't toxic; so your body should handle 2,000-4,000 IU a day just fine.
Hope that wasn't TOO rude, butting in like that.
