Since we’re talking about store-bought Easter treats, Hubby is also a great fan of ‘Peeps”.

I remember seeing an article long ago, in the Martha Stewart magazine, on how to make homemade marshmallow Peeps. I thought at the time, “Why Bother?” - but it might be something for the ‘Prepper’ Thread :-)

Wow! Lots of work, but my son who makes marshmallows from scratch would probably try them. He says once you eat a real marshmallow, Kraft no longer appeals.

I made Easter treats? That’s a clever idea.

You mean people actually eat the peeps? I thought they were just used for decoration until they hardened and were thrown away, lol!

I did try making homemade marshmallows one time, I followed Ina gardens recipe. They didn’t turn out near as pretty as hers or as wonderful as she claimed. I don’t think I did it quite right.
