Skype is a sewer where people go to avoid giving out their phone number to chat partners.
It has been a great solution for international calls.

Microsoft Office? How are they going to go through that?!! Office is in the cloud these days. You work on docs they store on their servers. They have access to everything you do in Word, Excel, Powerpoint...

I switched (largely) to Viber.
I’ve also used Whatsapp.
Are there others?

Theyre talking about Office365 which is cloud based.

Yep. Those are the two I use. Along with Messenger. I know of ones like Telegram but I have never used them.

Viber is supposed to be encrypted.
Unfortunately, Skype dominates this area and most people want to use it.

Interesting. My friends in Europe are all Whatsapp, Viber and Messenger. If somebody I don’t know wants to skype I would run. Too sketchy these days. I don’t even have it installed on my phone.

Most business contacts use Skype. Suggest viber and they never heard of it.
Most personal contacts are viber or WhatsApp.

Skype is not Hippa compliant. There are video platforms that are, but you must pay for them.

This all sounds like a major load of PC fascism. The Left, not content with having corrupted and pwned the MSM, and the social networks, is putting their fingers in your Word docs and Excel spreadsheets.
Gonna be harder and harder to find a place to do anything private that involves communications.
Thinking about encrypted ham radio...

You are absolutely right about that. No Leftist can go more than a paragraph into any written thought before they start dropping F-bombs. They are truly the progeny of Abbie Hoffman.
