They might look great on someone as statuesque as FLOTUS, but they are not flattering for many of us shorter women.... Plus, her clothes are made of the finest fabrics, highly tailored, pressed impeccably, etc., which are not options for many of us in our everyday wardrobes.

I have rather large calves because of my days riding bicycles delivering newspapers up and down hills in my teens. I loved the bell bottoms because the fit wasn’t tight like straight legged pants....................
Would have been more flattering as a maxi skirt.
We wear bell bodies, not bell bottoms, well maybe our bottoms look like a bell, ahem anyway....
