Oh they’re ruthless, of that there is no doubt. But they are also not stupid. Bill is a Rhodes scholar. For the well connected, it’s easier to win that honor, but for a cold from Arkansas, he had to be pretty smart to be named. There aren’t that many, and even though they’re mostly all democrats and lefties, don’t underestimate Bill Clinton’s intellect.

current winners are more political, but back then it was different. He did t earn the degree because he didn’t finish the course work. Sen. Bill Bradley was a Rhodes Scholar.

the Clintons are as slippery as people get, dishonest, and awful ethical people, but they are smart. Bill more than Hillary.

When it comes to Clinton I don’t think stupid is the right word. Arrogant is closer.

I was sent an application for the Rhodes Scholar. Nice cover letter explaining how great it was. I threw it into the trash can.

A liberal friend of mine thought I should have at least framed it. Didn’t know then what I know now. I just didn’t want to ever leave the Continental USA.
