It's perfect casting. I, for one, can't tell the difference.
It’s “color blind” casting in the theater today, unless the the role is one traditionally played by a person of color...in which case it must be played by someone of the “correct” ethnicity.

Then there is Khan Noonien Singh - suppose of Indian descent but played by the very English Benedict Cumberbatch
In all of these cases there were howls of whitewashing just as goldendelicious is now talking about a black dude playing a white dude.
