Thank you, that will be great. That is one thing I never even thought of – calculating how long propane would last with the generators. I can’t believe I missed it :-(

Hey,

I promised you our propane gas burn rate during the emergency.

At moderate load, we were burning 4.12 gallons/17.31 pounds per hour. We planned for 5 gallons per hour.

But, for our office, a moderate load meant three industrial inverter air conditioners, 30 computers, overhead lights, 2 copiers, several printers, etc. We shut down the fridges, water coolers and had no heat sources like stoves, water heaters, etc. on.

So, for a home, probably 2 - 3 gallons per hour is more realistic.

This was for a 20KW Generac Propane/Natural Gas generator in propane mode.

A neighbor of mine has a 17KW Generac and two 107 gal/450 lb tanks and that could give him 3 days non-stop use.
