The votes were there to impeach and convict, they don’t need a reason at all, had the powers-that -be felt their existence at the trough was threatened by his action...well, it’d be Trump saying “et tu, Brute.”

Up until today nobody could have pulled off impeaching Trump because there would be a mass road trip to DC the likes of which the US capitol has never seen before. But today Trump pissed off that base that would have fought for him. Those that want him impeached got a victory....at least for today. Sentiment t might change tomorrow.

Its all part of the Deep States plan. Keep up the pressure until Trump responds. So far not one single arrest. Many criminals against trump are still in their job despite much evidence. Does anyone expect them to quit.

Trump is getting played by the Republican Team. He should have cut them off already. He is in transition again regarding Staff positions. Sessions is fighting tooth and nail Against him. Don’t worry. There are 1.3 Trillion Sealed Indictments. However no one signed up for the field trip to GITMO.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but Trump’s base is meaningless. The Establishment couldn’t care less about Trump’s base. They aren’t frightened one iota about busy middle class people with jobs, kids, school and mortgages to pay. Those people are too busy trying to make it to worry about Trump’s problems.

The Establishment has always ignored Trump’s base and thrived anyway. Trump pissing off his base only hurt’s Trump not his enemies, nor the larger swath of the population that cares about nothing but themselves. Had he shut down the government, Trump’s favorability would have cratered, sooner or later and he would have given in anyway. And impeachment and conviction would have been a walk in the park.

As it is, Trump realizes his weakness in the political arena, I’m sure he is reflecting on his relative lonely position in D.C. if the The Republican Establishment and the Democrat Establishment are united - which they most certainly are on the budget, which is the source of their personal wealth and power, then Trump - without even an administration truly with him - is literally powerless to do anyth8ng to stop them. Stopping them means an unlikely successful open revolt against the state. And that’s not what Trump is about.
