The problem, as I see it, is the pressure to not shut down the government....which keeps getting greater as time goes by. I’m not sure things will get get better on that score by October. The people have been well trained to view that kind of loggerheads as the worst thing that can happen...and it means the man in charge is incompetent. Nice little scam the political class has going there.

You’re right about that. The Donald did set the table with the DACE kids angle, though. He can blame any shutdown attempt on Dems abandoning the poor DACA kids. I think the next budget battle will be very interesting, at least.
