Thanks for that. I need a clear head to ponder the claims. Appreciuate the global perspective, which is totally missing from US causal discussion.
Without study of the article, I think Tillerson is "safe" at least. He is still SoS. His departure is orderly and on good/best terms.

HEAD'S UP! - c/o the OMNIBUS,
WELCOME TO THE NEW TRUMP ERA UNDER THE HOLMAN RULE!
You know the SES AKA deep state / shadow government? THE RATS?
----------------------------------
----------------------------------
I've not confirmed this fully + absolutely yet - somebody please do - but it's now being said that the OMNIBUS negotiated by POTUS (with DEMocRATS ROFL!) included and broadly adopted the Holman Rule!
NOW from last year SEE:
House Republicans revive obscure rule that allows them to slash the pay of individual federal workers to $1:
House Republicans this week reinstated an arcane procedural rule that enables lawmakers to reach deep into the budget and slash the pay of an individual federal worker down to $1 a move that threatens to upend the 130-year-old civil service.
The Holman Rule, named after an Indiana congressman who devised it in 1876, empowers any member of Congress to propose amending an appropriations bill to single out a government employee or cut a specific program.
The use of the rule would not be simple; a majority of the House and the Senate would still have to approve any such amendment. At the same time, opponents and supporters agree that the work of 2.1 million civil servants, designed to be insulated from politics, is now vulnerable to the whims of elected officials.
The revival of the Holman Rule was the brainchild of Rep. H. Morgan Griffith (R-Va.), who is intent on increasing the powers of individual members of Congress to reassign workers as policy demands.

To impeach Trump is to impeach the majority of AMERICAN CITIZENS! --
But you can tell from lack of support, tenor of remarks that Congress (correctly) views Trump as a mortal foe.

I agree. The only way I see Nov playing out well is for something along these line to transpire.

ROFL. Will be fun watching that accusation land where it belongs.
I bet the "MSM" never admits being in on the scam.

IMHO no tax revolt because 50% of the people pax little to no taxes. The high earners who pay the most taxes are often progs. There’s no skin in the game for many citizens (or non-citizens). And even those that pay little to no taxes often are participating in an underground cash or barter economy where income is not reported. The system is, shall we say, imperfect.

I think it is one of those things that sounds good on paper but with current congress where would the votes to reduce anything to $1 come from. I'd love to see it happen, just don't see how it does.
The whole SES deal is a long and nasty road and a travesty.

Probably no connection. I found this on Wikipedia for Ft. Marcy Park:
The fort was not completed until the fall of 1862. It is a relatively undisturbed fort and was named in honor of a native of Massachusetts, Randolph B. Marcy, a distinguished soldier, father-in-law, and chief of staff to General George B. McClellan
