My dad took me to see JFK speak at Arlington National on Memorial Day. I was 5 or 6 at the time. An even earlier memory was at breakfast one morning. I didn’t want to eat the crispy edges on the fried eggs. Mom said “that is President Eisenhower’ favorite part” and I ate it. Interesting memories. I guess I knew who they were, sort of... maybe.

"In pretty much every non-STEM class, she gets subjected to the teacher’s opinions about President Trump throughout essentially the entire period, every day."

Wow. Then what the younger, more conservative nationalist Millennials have been saying about many messages they've received from younger teens and children is true. Some teachers are making the big mistake with "Generation Z."

Call other parents that you know and ask them if their kids got the same questionnaire.....

Hello?
Do you really think that a teacher about to be sued blind (I would) or her school are about to give you the names and phone numbers of other parents?

Invasion of privacy...
Abuse of authority.
Child abuse.

Political indoctrination without parent permission.

Individually sue:

The School District.
The school principal.
The idiot teacher.

Punitive damages.

Most first graders would not be able to read that. And even if they could read it and understand it, they would have a difficult time writing down their thoughts.

I would return it to the school uncompleted, with a short letter that we do not discuss politics with our children at home, and, we expect public schools to refrain from discussing them also so as not to disrupt the home environment of an impressionable 6yo.

Appalling. As others have said on this thread: This is child abuse.

That's the beauty about classic indoctrination techniques, designed by adults to work on adults.
What chance does a child have?

All the 6-years old had to do is answer 1, 2 or 3, which is all that was expected of them, which they could all barely do. And if everyone else is answering the questions, what child wants to seem stupid?

I have no doubt that both Obama's and Hillary's psych war teams played a role in this, both procedurally and financially.

Fake.

Maybe some relative got with the six-year old to create a hoax to get mom/dad all hyped up.

I would be down at that school with my attorney demanding that teachers head on a pike! This is no different then teachers in Germany putting Jewish kids in front of the class so the "Aryan'' kids could ''know what a Jew looks like''.

Back in the 80s I analyzed a sex ed program that had the kids doing crossword puzzles using words like "uterus" and "fallopian tube" in the first semester of the first grade. And they used pictures of the sex organs as prompts to "help" the kids get a clue to solving the puzzle.

Yeah, evil $#!+ for brains put that whole thing together.

And they have the nerve to ask if home-schooling parents are properly trained to teach kids.
Sheesh!

We had a board game called “Politics” around that time where you put pins in a map that you earned by answering questions.

NY had 45 electoral votes and California 32 back then....

I would have filled all the questions out N/A, not applicable, and then wrote a note at the bottom for the teacher to call me if she had any questions. Then I would take a trip to the Principal’s Office and then the District Office.
That’s how I rolled. lol

Anyone who's ever seen "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie" will remember the classic line "give me a girl at an impressionable age and she's mine for life".

Yes,"Jean Brodie" was a teacher....in a girl's school.

I agree. Given the slant and wrinkling in the paper, the printing is too perfect. Looks like someone took a photo of the blank paper, then Photoshopped the “quiz” onto it.

Then again, I live about 10 miles east of Beserkeley, so I could easily see such a quiz out here.

And I live about 10 miles from Harvard Square...and from where Mike Dukakis got his start....and from where Princess Liawatha lives (well,I guess you've got the picture) and I,too, can easily imagine such a quiz being given to local First Graders.

In fact I'd be stunned if that *wasn't* the case.

The kid should but of course cannot answer:
  1. Yes, he is kind, much kinder than a teacher using children abusing authority to indoctrinate them children to hate a Republican President someone they do not know.

  2. Yes, he keeps us safe, and much safer than teachers that won’t protect us from bad guys with guns because they are cowardly liberals There is no such thing as perfect safety. That is why we need courage, and brave people willing to protect us as well as they can.

  3. Yes, I don’t know if he should be president again, but you should not be a teacher ever again for asking since no teacher should ask a little kid big questions. My parents are the ones to decide that until I am much bigger. these questions.
