Interesting free association just happened:
The phrase “gone to the movies” recalls for me a line from the Steelye Dan song (Katy Lied album) ‘Everyone’s Gone to the Movie’s.
It’s a song about a pederaster showing porno to the neighborhood kids.
Odd how strings intertwine.
Same for me when I saw the phrase. Steely Dan is my “go to” music.
