In the fifth century Saint Patrick brought Christianity to Ireland and drove the snakes out of the Emerald Isle. Fifteen centuries later we celebrate his memory with green milkshakes, green beer, and, if you mix the two, green vomit. Oh yeah, and parades. Purely by coincidence I started watching Boardwalk Empire last weekend, about half way through. Good stuff.

Don’t remember what book I read but it said the Irish mafia replaced the Jewish mafia. Followed by the Italians.

Gangs of NY is my favorite.

I’m married to an Irish woman. Continue to pray for me.

Every St. Pats she whips out that DVD...and the Jameson. If anyone hasn’t had the luxury of seeing the deleted scene of their mothers call...It’s a frightening insight. ;)

The Commitments is a great movie. Another sleeper hit is
Hear My Song (Trailer 1991)

I agree about “Black Mass”. If Hollywood made up a story like that you would never believe it and you would probably laugh at the thought of Johnny Depp playing the lead but Depp was absolutely terrifying as Bulger.
