In southern Arizona the cassia have bloomed for about a month. The crepe myrtle has just leafed while the Monk’s pepper tree is smarter, waiting it out for a few more weeks. The various aloe are beginning to send out blooms. The Mexican bird of paradise is reviving after a short winter nap. In sum, all’s right with the world.
