You might find it hard to miss these unusual wheel accessories, but then they aren't made to be missed.

Bemused passengers filmed the hilarious moment they spotted a car driving on the motorway with foot-and-a-half long protruding spinners on the wheels.

The video shows a Cadillac driving on the busy motorway in Houston, Texas with the unusually long wheel ornaments on all four of its tires.

I would think they would be illegal. I think some states have laws that restrict wheel width to a certain length beyond the wheel fender.....

Ben Hur’s sponsor referring to Messala’s axle appendages.

I was thinking of that movie too.

Ben Hur is one of the best movies ever made, and Hollywood will probably never again make one that good.

I guess he’s readying for his next chariot race. I hope he bangs them on some concrete and tears off the entire wheel.

Getting up to a drive thru window
would be impossible. The guy must
have some really long arms. He’s
also probably banged his shins on
those a few times if it’s parked
in his garage.

Would be an interesting new variation on NASCAR - Ben Hur style.

New Mexico and Texas have no restrictions
on actual tire width where the fender
must cover the tire. There are thousands
of lifted 4x4 pickups on Texas roads
with huge tires, way past the fenders.
I have two lifted Jeeps, a CJ and a TJ.
They both have wide tires, but are covered
with fender extensions. If you run thru
water or mud with tires not covered, you’ll end up wearing what ever you
run thru.
Especially when you’ve got the doors off.
This is purely speculation, (although
what this guy did looks pretty stupid),
Texas has what are called farm to market
roads. Tractors and/or farm trucks are
laden down with all kinds of stuff that
protrudes past the confines of the
vehicle, so what this guy has done is
probably legal, or there is no law
that even mentions wheel widths.
I would bet the cops love to hassle
him though.

anti-pedestrian, anti-motorcycle, and anti-nextlane tires. Which tells me the owner of the vehicle hasn’t developed a capacity for complex thought and shouldn’t be driving at all.

Sorry, I just think it is hilariously ironic that someone from Connecticut is calling Austin a liberal hell hole.

Man, other than about 6 solid blue zip codes it’s far from it and more than a third of the residents in those are conservatives.

But no worries, we have better food than y’all no matter what anyone thinks ;)

Oh, CT is a liberal hellhole too. I left.

As far as food, Pizza. Checkmate. The best pizza in New York is found in Connecticut.
