I like Joaquin Phoenix in Gladiator as Commodus

and
Rutger Hauer in Blade Runner at Roy Batty

but I'm sure I have others if I really pondered it.
No, no, noooooooooooo...the remake was not nearly as good as the original.
Oddjob wasn’t such a bad guy. It wasn’t his fault.
‘A healthy nerve root is infinitely more sensitive than one which is diseased”.
Dr. Lechter? Dr. Lechter? Dr. Lechter? “That expires in one week. You’re not real FBI are you?”
I enjoyed it; I actually saw that one first, THEN went back and watched the Robert Mitchum version.
What a great actor he was.
One of my favorite movies with him is “Heaven Knows, Mr. Allison”. “Anzio” is also good, and Peter Falk does a great job in that along with Mitchum.
Ross Martin, Experiment in Terror (1962)

Lee Van Clief.
Chigurh———”No Country for Old Men”
.
true that.
He played a "villain" in ROBIN AND THE SEVEN HOODS, but since it was a comedy, the "villians" weren't really "bad" nor menacing and Falk was superb in that movie, as was the entire cast! :-)
The original CAPE FEAR was REALLY creepy and much more terrifying than the remake! And Mitchum far more menacing and believable than Bobby de Niro who always plays every character the same way.
The original bad guy.
Ah yes, Wes Studi as Magua ( had to look it up, to my shame. ) My favorite quote, ( from memory, ) “Magua say he understand English very well.” ... I often think of it.
Really great movie, BTW, ... great ending.
Donald Pleasence was good at being bad. I first remember him being the evil Doctor in "Fantastic Voyage" who was trying to sabotage the mission. Until he got killed by a white corpuscle, that is.
Of course, most of us remember the surgeon's assistant, Raquel Welch, looking quite fetching in her wet suit!
Absolutely right - Lee Van Cleef in “The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly” is my winner: “When I’m paid, I always see the job through.”
Robert Mitchum actually escaped from a chain gang near Savannah in his youth. It was for something minor but he was worried about making the movie which was filmed there.
Lee Van Cleef was always “bad” and always good at being bad.
As for women, the mother of Raymond Shaw (Angela Lansbury) and Livia (Poison is Queen)from I CLAUDIUS take the cake.
James Woods was very unlikable in Against All Odds.
Love ya, James!
