In today’s movie marketing it is all global so it may not be totally necessary to have big stars open pictures, you now have to have a diverse cast to play world wide.
Jennifer Lawrence is a so so actress and lucked out getting a Oscar she probably did not deserve, she had the good fortune of being in the The Hunger Games Trilogy which out her on the map. Frankly she probably has not made very good career choices.
So she may be be, at even her young age, headed down.

At his age he has been doing a lot of crap pictures and he isn’t making $20 Million a picture anymore either.

Nobody. Stars are actually pretty low on the list of reasons people watch a movie. The primary reason people go is the story, if you do a crappy job of advertising the story, nobody goes to your movie.

You are correct. I’m 42 years old and doubtful I reflect any type of trend within my demographic.

This is a really poorly written article. I hear that a follow-up article is being planned: "The death of journalism is nothing to gloat about."

So she may be, at even her young age, headed down. I suspect that that is how her career started in the first place, but only Harvey Weinstein knows for sure.

True.
I actually really liked the moral conflict in “Passengers”.
(Actually not a real moral conflict...but given human weakness, could you understand someone ignoring the moral component?)
She is easy on the eyes, that’s all. Like you said, they could have plugged anyone else in there. I did like Chris Pratt.

Oh, please. Cry me a river. All you have to do is be responsible with the first $10-$15 million you make, and you never have to worry about losing your fame and ridiculous paychecks...

Agreed. She lost her likability with many people who no longer want to see her movies.

Jennifer Lawrence is a typical 27-year old Hollywood actress that dropped out of school when she was 14 yet hit it big, so now she is on the top pedestal where all good little mega-movie star gals are when they fall due to exceeding their potential by having more than one film not make big box office bucks.
No tears shall be shed here in the Big C, 56 miles south of Big D.

In the old days, there were actually stars who could make a movie.

Like most actors, she over-estimates her importance in the World.
