All the points are true.
My wife is exceptionally loyal. I have been through the mill, have see. Layoffs, Reduction in Force, companies go bankrupt, factories close and even my department get transferred to India. She stood by my side every day. She supported me. The odds of finding a woman like my wife are remote, to the point of being ridiculous. This is the way a marriage should be.
Unfortunately very few women are like my wife. And I met many, many women before my wife came along. Most are exactly as this article says.
The family court system looks upon men as wallets with legs.
That alone is reason enough to forego marriage.

I am recently divorced and will never remarry. I have already been in that rodeo and see no reason to expose myself to that level of risk again. I currently give my ex-wife $3K a month for child support plus about 70% of the kid’s incidentals such as music, lessons, sports, etc. that adds up to about $3.7K a month. She called me two weeks ago and asked me for money to pay for her $1500 insurance copy for a lumpectomy and she was surprised and hurt when I told her that it was her boyfriend’ an/or her family’s responsibility.

Which is a very, very, **very** bad thing.
I would say that women are in a better position in a marriage. They don’t have to have kids if they don’t want to, they can cancel it at any time and run away with the money. That’s on top of whatever she can earn on her own.
The Left has empowered women through divorce laws to loot the wealth of men. Men can easily get thrown out of their own home at the drop of a hat.
Now I won’t say that there aren’t shrewd abusive men who make marriage and divorce hell for good women. I’ve personally seen that. If there are kids, then a woman’s life becomes more difficult as a single mother. Of course being a single father without access to his kids has to be a really hard pill to swallow.
The long and short of this is that the legal profession has screwed is all.

This is true but marriage can be just as bad for a woman with money, if not worse. If the husband messes up, he has spent HER money, doesn’t help with the kids, how is that not a bad deal for the woman? I’m with the burnt guys here, as a woman, because I gave and gave and gave and ended up screwed. Not seeing the upside to marriage unless you literally approach it from the start like a full on business deal. I was a dumb romantic.
