I’m old enough to remember when the National Review was run by Bill Buckley and was actually a good mag.

I’m old enough to remember when conservatives were conservatives, and were against Clintonism.

I don’t know why anyone reads the NR anymore... its neocon tripe.

NR is a disgrace. They have redone their rag website so that no one can comment unless you are a subscriber. THAT pretty much assures they will receive no negative comments. Low Life Rich Lowry is a dirtbag of unimaginable proportions. So it is no surprise all they print is Never Trump garbage.

I thought so too, but as I matured it began to sink in to me that the NR message was aimed more at East Coast elites--who were the original RINOs--than us in the West who rejected Nixon, embraced Goldwater, Ashbrook and Reagan and wanted to have less rather than more government at all levels.

I let my subscription lapse after the Buchanan-is-an-anti-Semite cover story.
