The Politicization of the FBI
Imprimus ^ | Joseph E. diGenova

Posted on 03/05/2018 8:38:41 AM PST by Track9

Over the past year, facts have emerged that suggest there was a plot by high-ranking FBI and Department of Justice (DOJ) officials in the Obama administration, acting under color of law, to exonerate Hillary Clinton of federal crimes and then, if she lost the election, to frame Donald Trump and his campaign for colluding with Russia to steal the presidency. This conduct was not based on mere bias, as has been widely claimed, but rather on deeply felt animus toward Trump and his agenda.

In the course of this plot, FBI Director James Comey, U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch, FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, FBI Deputy Director of Counterintelligence Peter Strzok, Strzok’s paramour and FBI lawyer Lisa Page, FBI General Counsel James Baker, and DOJ senior official Bruce Ohr—perhaps among others—compromised federal law enforcement to such an extent that the American public is losing trust. A recent CBS News poll finds 48 percent of Americans believe that Special Counsel James Mueller’s Trump-Russia collusion probe is “politically motivated,” a stunning conclusion. And 63 percent of polled voters in a Harvard CAPS-Harris Poll believe that the FBI withheld vital information from Congress about the Clinton and Russia collusion investigations.

Democrats are Democrats first.

Being an honest law enforcement agent is way down on their list.

That’s why the Democrat Party needs to go away.

We can have a United States Of America or we can have a Democrat Party.

We can’t have both.

The real problem is can it be fixed? Without a Stalinesque purge?

I said it before Trump was elected, no it can't.

Trump needs to appoint diGenova now. Or his wife. We need someone of his stature to undo the bureaucrats who tried to overturn what’s left of our democracy (I know, I know the republic thing, OK).

Article 1 talks about the powers of Congress, and the idea that that pile of dreck would ever empower this president to do as you suggest is way beyond dreaming.

Sessions had to step aside at the time since he was part of trumps campaign
Blame Rosenstein for mule head
If sessions did the review and said no collusion the press would have screamed bloody murder cover up No doubt
Mule head has had more than a year with most vicious partisan hacks
Results ? Nothing. Nada. Zero collusion
Si when he’s done the media cannot say. Cover up ! Endlessly
It sucks but it’s the way it is with the evil evil evil satanic media and swamp

Comey’s dereliction did not stop at the failure to utilize essential prosecutorial tools. He violated several rules that prosecutors consider sacrosanct:

It hasn't gone unnoticed that Comey has been very quiet the past few weeks - I think that reveals the likelihood that someone or some agency is taking his dereliction seriously and that wheels are in motion investigating him and others. I hope it's Mr. Magoo, as this isn't directly related to "Russia" and his recusal in that area.

I am truly astonished how some here continue to excuse Sessions.

(1) He did not have to recuse. Meeting with foreign dignitaries is routine for members of Congress. All Sessions needed to do was list the many meetings other senators had with Russians, how many foreign junkets they all took, etc. But no, he meekly recused.

(2) Sessions recused without telling Trump in advance, thereby denying his soon-to-be boss the opportunity to select someone else.

(3) Sessions has refused to resign, thereby hamstringing Trump, which I believe was the purpose of Sessions ingratiating himself with Trump during the campaign.

(4) Sessions has not kept his recusal narrowly focused, but seems to have shirked virtually all responsibilities of his job. What stops Sessions from filing criminal charges against Strzok, for one example? Nothing except for his unwillingness to act.

American public is losing trust

Trust 100% gone. Laws DO NOT protect you against criminals. Many criminals never stop unless incarcerated or eliminated. Witness history. No incarcerations. No eliminations. Criminals (Hillaryous Rotten, William Jefferson) still roam free. The "color of law" is bleak. What law?

We hold from God the gift which includes all others. This gift is life — physical, intellectual, and moral life.

But life cannot maintain itself alone. The Creator of life has entrusted us with the responsibility of preserving, developing, and perfecting it. In order that we may accomplish this, He has provided us with a collection of marvelous faculties. And He has put us in the midst of a variety of natural resources. By the application of our faculties to these natural resources we convert them into products, and use them. This process is necessary in order that life may run its appointed course.

Life, faculties, production — in other words, individuality, liberty, property — this is man. And in spite of the cunning of artful political leaders, these three gifts from God precede all human legislation, and are superior to it. Life, liberty, and property do not exist because men have made laws. On the contrary, it was the fact that life, liberty, and property existed beforehand that caused men to make laws in the first place.

The Law (italics) - Frederic Bastiat

Yes, but here in Canada on the CBC all you get is more stories of how foreigners were able to “sway” the US elections.
