United Airlines Flight: 'Pretty Much Everyone On the Plane Threw Up'

I just don’t get this feeling. I’m really not sure why. I spent my time in the Navy on a destroyer, many times in very high seas for days at a go. I’ve seen lots of squids get violently ill while I never felt a twinge.

I was a bubblehead, but I had this weird 9 month assignment between nuke school and my first attack boat where I was on a civilian surface ship that towed Submarine NR-1.

We crossed the Atlantic, and man did that civie ship get tossed around. I had to cover a lot of watches due to about half the crew being incapacitated by vomiting fits.

Me? Not even an inkling of nausea. I too was quite curious as to why I was not afflicted by motion sickness, yet so many others were.

Once they start to blow, it gets contagious, like a vomit zombie appocolypse.

They all suck.

Sadly, all US air carriers are poor on customer service, poor in reliability, poor on food, poor on extras, poor on the quality of service, poor for children... They figured out 100 ways of upselling, contracts that mean nothing except that they take your money but then kick you off because they over booked a flight (of course they don’t have to pay for that), luggage that often goes the wrong way (but of course they don’t need to pay for that), food that is some mushy disgusting luke warm slop, no more check in bags unless of course they upsell that, some ugly ass stewardess or a homo, nothing extra for kids anymore, seats so small you have to be an Ethiopian to fit into them... They just suck.

Flying today is an overpriced high speed subway ride where you are required to pay a $40 fee to the TSA so they can pretend like they’re keeping you safe while they grope you.

Let them all go broke. Build more cars and roads, push private air travel (GA), maybe rail... They big airlines and government have destroyed air travel. The era where it was special, and experience, etc is long gone. They are cattle cars.

Try a foreign carrier. I hear some Middle Eastern and Asian airlines are still a good experience. I hope our genius gubbermint doesnt keep bailing them out. What would this be? 3 times in 10 years?
