BRIGHTON, MI -- A Livingston County court employee has filed a federal lawsuit against the county’s chief judge and embattled district court Judge Theresa Brennan.
In a 19-page lawsuit, District Court Administrator Francine Zysk alleges Brennan retaliated against her after Zysk testified in Brennan's divorce proceedings regarding the judge's “dishonesty, perjury, scandalous behavior, bullying of employees and disruption of court officials.”
“Francine will suffer in silence no more,” Zysk’s lawyer, Jim Fett, said in a statement Monday. “…Like many of the employees that she has advocated for, Francine has had to seek medical care and counselling to cope with Brennan’s unrelenting toxic behavior.”

“The lawsuit is the latest in the Livingston County saga that’s unfolded in the wake of revelations regarding Brennan’s extramarital affair with a Michigan State Police detective during a murder trial in 2013. The detective, First Lt. Sean Furlong, was the lead detective on the case.
Both Brennan and Furlong testified their affair began after the trial, but phone records showed Brennan spoke on 37 phone calls with Furlong between the time the murder trial began and Kowalski’s sentencing.”

Yet another corrupt “judge”. Sheesh! Are there no honest people who are “leaders”: in society? Diogenes would die looking apparently.
The system is rife with moral corruption, nepotism, and worse.

Around here, a judge and prosecutor were going at it. Needless to say, the prosecutors did well in that court.
Everbody that went through her court knows, especially those she had an attitude against. She was a Jenny Granholm proabort appointee originally. I would expect a bunch of her victims to request a retrial, IF they know about this situation.

Heard she scared guys away from trial in her pretrials. For a lot of guys, a fair re-judgement on spousal support (alimony) and asset division could gain them tens of thousands of dollars.
I know of a state judge in CA case who ruled that illegal acts are not ‘wrongful’ in the legal context.
What I’m amazed at is that apparently all this and more happened in some “village” somewhere, I’m still not sure what village this is.
That is one busy village! But not a lot getting done.
Just goes to show though, just living in a small town doesn’t grant immunity from some big time messes showing up in one’s life. Corrupt, evil behavior is everywhere.
I think Fowlerville is the village, it’s north of Brighton a bit.
