And if the owners are found, considering the condition those dogs were in, I’d like to see the owners dropped off in the middle of that 8-lane. During rush hour.
They are not puppies and it is foolish to risk your life for an animal. It would be sad if they were hurt or killed but not worth a human life.
I saw a vehicle accident on 101 that no one stopped for and a few days later, people running around the same busy section of road chasing a dog. Stupid. Like the idiot saving a wild rabbit in the Thomas fire. Fool.

If anyone had hit the brakes to avoid hitting the dog, it could’ve caused a chain reaction. The cops were doing the chasing with marked vehicles. People should and do slow for cops. I’d think it would be better for the cops to get the dogs off the highway before there’s a multiple MVA.
I thought all police depts. were taught how to shoot dogs.
Better puppies than emus, those things hurt when they nip you, major pinch. Did a college internship at a science center with a zoo and the emus were clever things, always trying to figure out an escape, and they did. The center called all hands to help corral them back into the enclosure and they loved to run back and forth across Lawndale Avenue for some strange reason. The looks from passing traffic were comedy gold, though.

You definately do NOT want an emu to attack you. They have legs & feet left over from the dinosaur age, and they can totally eviscerate an opponent with one swipe. Neighbor used to have 2 of them Then he had only one. The female sliced the male open top to bottom with one swipe. Gues he didn’t believe her when she said “I have a headache’. Claws that can do the same to a human.
We had a healthy respect for what they could do to us but still got nipped when we were trying to corral them. They were too busy running to do anything but that I suppose, that and they were relatively tame.

I, like probably the rest of the people here on Free Republic, immediately went to Google Search ‘Puppies”. I got the largest selection of the cutest puppies I have ever seen. Somewhat disappointing, but cute nonetheless.
