I dunno. Ang Lee made one of the best Civil War films ever, Ride with the Devil that earned him my respect as a filmmaker.
Cool. I hope you get some good $ for them using your boat to film in. My friend made $600 a day for her yard in a tv show recently. Fun to watch them film.
“Try getting some dish soap and a pump insecticide spray outfit. Stir 2 tablespoons of dish soap to a gallon of water in the tank, then screw on the lid and pump it up. Spray your yard with it, esp. any sandy areas.”
We put a teaspoon of dish soap in a quart of apple cider vinegar and cut holes in the lid. The vinegar attracts them and the dish soap kills them. We put those around the property and in the house.
I present to you the age-old remedy to keep gnats out of your face...here goes:
CUT A BIG HOLE IN THE SEAT OF YOUR PANTS, THEN THEY WILL GO THERE, INSTEAD OF YOUR FACE.
People who live below the “gnat line” in Georgia should know this...;)
Seriously though, there is a lotion called “Swamp Gator” that works the best I’ve seen at repelling the little buggers. Sometimes they have it at Ace Hardware stores.
Not mine (unfortunately) just the marina. There will be a boat in the background (I do believe) that LOOKS like ours. It’s a 36 Ft Tashing Tashiba. Ocean crossing type boat.
There were out there filming a few weeks ago and buddy of ours that is also a live-aboard, had a long chat with Smith. But, I, of course, had to work.
Well, yes.
Palmetto Bugs! I had a girlfriend in Cocoa Beach who let big spiders roam her cottage to eat the Palmetto Bugs! The spiders were big!
You’ve got to be smarter than the critters your dealing with otherwise they win.
Well, Will Smith ain’t lying... nor is he being a drama queen.
I live in the middle Georgia area(Warner Robins), and I can’t do yard work in April.
Those blood suckers swarm(and that is the word) all over me and cause me to flee in less than 10 minutes.
And, they leave big hideous whelps that take about 2 wks to go away.
Once when I tried to ignore them and power thru, I got bit about 15 times.
Won’t do that again!
I call them biting flies but I think they are gnats.
Hell, in April, sometimes I can’t even stand outside and talk to a neighbor.
He thus would never survive Ft.Benning. What a d-bag.
Aw bummer. You can make good $ when they use your place. Still fun to watch. My former real estate agents car was in several episodes of Dexter as he lived across the street from the Trinity Killer. lol.
but, I don’t understand why they are called no-see-ums.
I see those black suckers just fine.... especially when they are crawling all over my arms.

Skin so Soft will keep them off. Long known in Northwest Florida. Learned this in Cedar Key.
My has tested positive for Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever but we are having a very hard time finding a doctor who will treat for it because the state of Arkansas says it doesn't have RMSF there. So the insurance won't cover it. Arkansas has more tick born diseases than any other state, it's ground zero for them.
“Yep. I’d never seen real cockroaches until I moved to Florida.”
We had friends from Georgia who told us that the bugs come in two sizes. The small ones are no-see-ums and they fly right through the screen doors. The large ones are huge mosquitoes and they open the door and come right in!
Time to switch colognes, bro.
especially when they are crawling all over my arms.....Thems crabs, fool.
