Former President Barack Obama is not planning to attend memorial services for the late evangelist Rev. Billy Graham this week.
Obama's office disclosed the former president's plans Monday, Yahoo! News reports, noting Graham’s support of desegregation and close ties to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

I'm surprised to find out that Billy Graham and LBJ were long-time friends. But Graham most likely grew up Democrat, and had that in common with Johnson.
Graham sure never had a kind compassionate word for Nixon during the commies take down of him.
I really don't remember it that way. Graham and Nixon were together a lot, especially early on in Nixon's White House years. Maybe Graham felt used. Maybe he was embarrassed by Nixon's recording their conversations, which were later made public during the Watergate. investigation. But I don't remember any hostility between the Nixon and Graham.
