We have several species of them in S. MS - a few took a liking to the cedar trim on the house so I had to replace a few sections and hang shiny tings that wave in the breeze to discourage them...

I think ‘birding’ is in the genes. My mom could easily identify birds’ nests and eggs. All my adult kids have feeders up and binoculars ready.

Years ago, I thought I spotted an ivory billed woodpecker and called some ornithology group to report it. From my description of flight pattern and markings they believed it was an ‘ivory billed’ and not a pileated.

I’m very important;) LOL!!!!!!!

Which is worse, the woodpeckers attracted to the cedar wood or the Democrats attracted to the shiny things?
