I think ‘birding’ is in the genes. My mom could easily identify birds’ nests and eggs. All my adult kids have feeders up and binoculars ready.

Years ago, I thought I spotted an ivory billed woodpecker and called some ornithology group to report it. From my description of flight pattern and markings they believed it was an ‘ivory billed’ and not a pileated.

I’m very important;) LOL!!!!!!!

When younger i too saw the ivory billed woodpecker they say have been extinct for a while... i still believe in the Big Thicket area of East Texas into the Sabine River West Louisiana area where you may go in and not come out, they’re still in there.
