Why not? Just because you don’t agree with her she is not qualified?
How I choose to use my money is my issue. How she chooses to use her money is her issue. When her car breaks down she will “suffer” the results of her choice.
People with no kids and with pets frequently substitute the pets as kids. And they make decisions accordingly.
As someone else noted this may have been silly but it is not “stupid.” Just a different value than you assign.
I wouldn’t want some mush brained new age rainbow chick who thinks her cat is her spirit animal guiding her through life anywhere near my kids.
