Our society is much too lenient, enabling in fact, about the early stages of drug abuse.

Does that include medical and psychiatric professionals who prescribe legal poisons that lead to addiction? Does that include pharmaceutical companies that glamorized their poisons and gave those prescribing them financial incentives to do so?

They execute each other much faster than the Fourth Amendment would let us do - but new ones keep springing up, because drug criminalization makes the money too good for many to resist.
