On December 12, my life changed forever.
I became aware that my name was on a List of Men to Avoid, compiled by a fellow student at Middlebury College, Elizabeth Dunn. It included the names of male students who had allegedly violated the boundaries of female students at Middlebury, based on accusations sent to Dunn on Facebook.

None of my partners has ever voiced to me that they felt uncomfortable during sex. Until this list was published, I was on a cordial basis with each and would say hi whenever I saw them on campus.
/src on/That is being a real gentleman
In today's environment I might be the only one of the group I hanged with in college to have gotten through unscathed. I live like a monk more out of my incompetence.
Nevertheless, it leaves him with nothing to lose. Always beware of guys, who’ve been burned for being guys, who have nothing to lose by...
Yea, none of my partners ever felt uncomfortable either.
Maybe I should say partner. As in one. As in married first.
I thank God every day that I am not attending college in this day and age.
It is the extrajudicial process of tarring people by the "#MeToo" crap that is the same as the one that got him into the situation.
You can't have it both ways, believing in "#MeToo" and being against what this woman did, because they are one and the same.
An accuser should bring charges in a court of law. If you are not willing to do so, you should not be able to brand someone without their day in court.
You shouldn’t have to be an angel not to be falsely branded as a rapist.
Really? I drive Uber on occasion here in Tallahassee. The conversations that I hear in my car, between female coeds at FSU and FAMU, would make Hefner blush. These girls are as aggressive in their pursuit of sex as are the males, maybe even more so, because they have little to worry about in the way of being labeled as this man was. As a 19 year old, you go and have consensual sex with another student, get labeled as a predator and you “don’t have much sympathy”? Watch the documentary “The Hunting Ground” and see the feminist ideology in motion. They are literally classifying “regretful sex” as rape. There’s a war on Males out here...
Note to the accused young man: Don’t suppose you’d consider keeping it in your pants ‘til you’re married?
Just a thought.
I give similar advice to young ladies, BTW.
Wrong response buddy. Get off of that campus now. Stop having sex with whack-job liberal girls, even if you ask for consent every five seconds.
I cannot for the life of me imagine how I could have grown to adulthood in this current environment.
I just seems way, waaay too weird.
IF his account is roughly accurate, then this shows that some woman put his name on this list out of pure unadulterated malice. Maybe she was unhappy that he viewed as a “fling” what she wanted to last, who knows? But anonymous public accusations are extremely problematic.
There’s a certain sense of freedom you get when you realize you are thoroughly and completely f-—ed.
Gaaaaahhh! No kidding! That just makes you a slave to a set of rules that are ever malleable and ever changing at the whims of...who?
If one has a consensual (by whatever standards are in place and understood by someone or some group) sexual relationship at a given date and time, and then some feminist speaker comes on campus and convinces women that a guy who didn’t have a signed contract is a rapist, you would be in violation of their arbitrary and ever changing rules.
Insanity.
I might get slammed for saying this but sad to say men these days are paying the price for some men who assaulted women especially on colleges where at times it got swept under the “rug”, men are just going to have to deal with the fact that if accused they are guilty before innocent and thus will have to deal with that even if it means avoiding females on campus.
Agreed. The whole Jameis Winston “rape scandal” was simply a case of a fling gone wrong.
There were very practical reasons why colleges used to be single-sex, and even the coed schools didn’t allow women in men’s dorms or vice versa
Crystal clear libel case.
Dude (article author), sue everyone in sight and those behind the curtain. Be a legal avenging angel with a fiery sword.
Seriously.
This type of defamation and irresponsibility must be punished as harshly as possible.
Sex outside marriage is ALWAYS risky, even in our liberated age
A woman who knowingly lodges a false rape accusation ought to expect to be murdered in response. As a juror I would consider it justified.
Coastal Carolina University came out with a poster a couple of years ago, called the “Jake and Josie” poster.
https://muskegonpundit.blogspot.com/2015/07/jake-and-josie-hook-up-drunk-does-josie.html
Basically it shows a couple of students drinking, the text says “Jake was Drunk” “Josie was drunk” “Jake and Josie hooked up” “Josie could not consent” “The next day, Jake was charged with rape”
Of course, when it came out in the mainstream media, the obvious question was asked, “If Jake was drunk too, how could he consent?” But it shows the reality for Males on college campuses, they alone carry the burden of personal responsibility.
