8-year-old boy robbed at gunpoint in New Orleans East: NOPD

An 8-year-old boy was robbed at gunpoint in the Little Woods area of New Orleans East on Saturday afternoon (Feb. 24), the New Orleans Police Department said.

The boy was approached by a man who demanded the boy give him his keys, according to a preliminary NOPD report. When the boy refused, the man pulled out a gun and said, "Give me the keys or I will kill you."

A10-year-old boy was robbed at gunpoint by three unknown people at 4:19 p.m. on Saturday in the 3000 block of Bruxelles Street near the intersection of Paris Avenue and Gentilly Boulevard, according to police.

WE need some more gun laws to prevent pre-teen children from getting robbed with guns. We'll just add it to the existing laws that make it illegal to rob people with a gun.

Just you wait. New Orleans will pass a law upping the penalty for using a gun while robbing a child. But anyone caught doing that will have his charges pled down to disturbing the peace.
