We have a lot of Red Tails here in southern NJ.
We have nesting year round Bald Eagles...up here in the Osage.
“... Tastes like chicken ...”
Actually, the taste of Bald Eagle is kind of cross between Northern Spotted Owl, and California Condor...

I believe some on the Arkansas River between Keystone and Tulsa are year-round residents while others are migratory, particularly the juveniles. I was told a story this weekend by Harvey Payne at the Tallgrass Prairie Preserve that he observed an eagle bringing a water turtle to the nest to feed the young.
Harvey is a great photographer..hope he got some pic's of that....
I know where some Great Blue Herons...have a rookery.....Wish I had the time...to set up a hide...to document their nesting activities..
Would be fun.....
Good talking with you.....
Cold.. Sure. Hypothermic, maybe. But frozen? No You don’t warm up a frozen bird. You thaw it.
