I just received a response from Timothy Darragh as such:
Dr. El Amir died Feb. 15, 2017, according to federal court records, before he could be sentenced.
I think I read it somewhere in this thread that the bank account listed in the indictment was listed as belonging to his son.
What's the significance of that ?

Obama has been traveling around the world. The Q inference seemed to be that he was being funded from that bank account. I looked at the Facebook page for Medhat El-Amir - it looks like he could have 3 sons, along with a wife and maybe a daughter. No acknowledgement at any of those profiles that the father passed away. You would think at least one of them would make some mention of it. Very strange.
