I had a car that squirrels chewed through a major wiring harness to the tune of $4500. Insurance paid for it but the rates went up significantly after that.
We got away lucky. Both cars one a 2010 the other a 2012 had wore damage for about 200 each because we set traps for the rat quickly. No claim filed but would have paid. For 4500 we definitely would Jane claimed.
