Honey. It’s not all of Florida. We sane people up in the panhandle are pretty near normal. The CHAOS always happens in the same HANGING CHAD areas with the usual suspects. Those districts always report their votes very late in to the night during elections. I am sure you know why. So power never changes hands.
The S/E Fla has always been a destination for retired NY and NJ retirees. Mostly Middle class, former union members, heavily Liberal, and from NYC and the burbs that extend to NJ. Their counties/cities are screwed up by bad leadership and when it gets too expensive and too restrictive, they leave. I grew up there and I recently returned, it was hell trying to find a parking space on my old street. Its no longer the 50’s 60’s there, its all changed. As far as the tolls, and the crowded roads it was terrible. At the rate they are coming into FLA they will turn FLA blue, I expect we will end up like CA within 10-15 years, with the same inept leadership.

That's what my wife and I had to do.
By the way the local town email lists were full of rabble rousers calling for students and teachers to walk out of class. This thing is being manipulated at the grass roots something fierce down here. My kid was essentially left alone in class while the Teacher took the students out to protest. We ended up having to pick her up from the office and take her back when they stopped their protest.
Funny how we worry about guns but not what makes a human being want to murder fellow students. From the lib perspective it's OK to hate and want to kill as long as you can't make good on your inclinations. It's wierd

Gadsden is very heavily African-American populated. Tallahassee has state House and thousands of bureaucrats that go with it. Florida State University has thousands of nutball leftist students and of course lib professors.

Tally also has FAMU, lots of lobbyists, etc., that are fellow travelers. Also large black indigenous population...perhaps not the majority, but a major percentage.

Valbrun-Pope was referring to what an article by Jeffrey Benzing in Public Source calls the "Broward County Solution." As Benzing relates, Broward County used to lead the state of Florida in sending students to the state's juvenile justice system. County leaders responded with a perfectly progressive solution: "lower arrests by not making arrests."

I believe Broward County of Florida is the Madison, WI of liberalism.
