“I think you are wrong here.”

I sincerely hope that I am.

“DJT is far, far better for our cause than anyone on the horizon. What do you think Hillary would be doing right now? You really want a liberal in office?”

It doesn’t matter. It only matters what he is going to do or not do.

“I would easily give up bump stocks for national concealed carry reciprocity. How about you?”

You’re likely to get neither.

“I would rather get one or two more Supremes from DJT and then attack useless laws in that venue. Or do you want a Merrick Garland type instead of more Neil Gorsuch types?”

What I want is my God Given Civil Rights.

Nothing else matters.

"I would easily give up bump stocks for national concealed carry reciprocity"

You might want to read my post about "ALL DEVISES", not just bump stocks. That is a direct quote from the Presidents mouth. So don't put a better trigger in your glock that could in the next week turn out to be a "devise". Check out the link and listen carefully.

Pay attention people. YOUR 2nd amendment rights could be in the hands of Jeff Sessions. Wake up.

Here we go again. More hand-wringing will come from the #NeverTrump and pearl-clutching crowd about how the President is going to betray all of the Deplorables, and then—when the dust clears—it'll be like it is every other time: no betrayal.

There ain't gonna be any semi-auto ban. That's just a wet dream from the Democrats, who are feeling their oats and think this phony progressive punk—Sir Dennis Eton Hogg or whatever this little snot propagandist kid's name is —is going to lead them into the promised land of authoritarian, uconstitutional gun control.

It's not going to happen; this little pied piper of Tyranny has just about used up his 15 minute power trip. His propaganda is so manipulative and is being so transparently guided by the heavy-handed Media, that—once again—they have grossly overplayed their hand, and their true agenda stands exposed for all to see.

The President will get some gun legislation passed, but it will be crafted by Republicans, and it won't be what the Dems want.

I’s suggest that Jerry Rivers just slink off into a merge with the horizon.

Who needs fake Hispanics?

All kids? No. They’re minors.

Some kids, sure. There are kids out there that have indeed had to fight off attackers of themselves, and of their family members.

...And in regards police, aside from SWAT teams, the same reasons for them to have firearms generally apply to ordinary citizens. The main difference is just the frequency (and that people actually present at the time a crime is occurring are far less likely to shoot the wrong person).

When did you learn how to use and act around firearms? Most responsible folks learned in their teens. Some a bit earlier. Some a bit later.

"Trump directed the Justice Department to draft a ban on devices known as “bump stocks,”..."

I'm just glad that no one has developed and marketed fidget spinner stocks. ;-)

Look history has told us that the founders barred portions of the population from possessing guns, including slaves and free blacks, who they feared might revolt if armed.

I have no problem with ‘regulating the age’ of when the students today can acquire weapons. Why is that so difficult to understand.

"The Compost is in full propaganda mode. This is purely designed to detach the President’s base from him."

That's what it looks like for sure.

I’ve only fired a semi-automatic once in my life at a hunting cabin with the Rotary Club members. Darn near sat me on my rear! ...and is the only gun I’ve ever fired.

Would this be the gang war areas etc.?

IOW you actually do know almost nothing about firearms but have, at the same time, strong opinions. Good work.

Works out to about 900 rounds a minute on my shirtsleeve. Or, about 50% exaggerated.

I dont get it. He can never go far enough for the gun grabbers. Anything he does that is less than full confiscation will not be valued or appreciated by the left and it just pisses off the right. I don’t get the benefit for doing a “little gun control”.

I thought that he took some action on “bump stocks” after the Vegas massacre. But this is not about appeasing the left... it is just the way that this game is played. It is about neutralizing the left’s blame game and then doing basically nothing once the news cycle changes. With a little practice you can use the recoil on almost any semi-auto rifle with a light trigger pull in the same way that a “bump stock” works.

Why would you protest in front of the pharmaceutical companies?

The company does not prescribe the drug to the patient, nor do they monitor the patient while on the drugs...

Drug prescribing and dosing for various mental illnesses is tricky—parents and physicians need to be vigilant in monitoring patient to make sure patient is responding positively with necessary adjustments to prescriptions as needed.

Properly prescribed and dosed, they can allow normalcy for people with mental illness.

In the case of the Florida shooter, it was stated he was in a facility at one point and a relative said he was on a prescription drug at some point. IMHO it would be interesting to see a report of a drugs in his system at arrest, etc. analysis and find out if he actually had been taking his meds...

Having worked at a rehab facility where one of my clients was a woman who was a paranoid schizophrenic who shot her husband, I can say from personal experience that she was Jekyll/Hyde...she was reasonable/docile as could be AS LONG AS SHE WAS ON HER MEDS...but when she did not take them, she “snapped” as she would described it and became a very scary lady...

Mental health is clearly a problem in all these cases, but I am not sure pharma company culpability isn’t somewhat misplaced.

(I don’t own any pharma stock nor do I work for a pharma company.)

Further tell me why a student under 21 yrs. old needs a “fast firing” gun?
####

An AR15 is a medium power rifle that fires no faster than a Ruger 10/22 or an old Remington Nylon 66. A few years ago when the IRS requested bids for AR15s they called them semiautomatic ‘PERSONAL PROTECTION weapons. The request for bid also specified that each rifle be equipped with “STANDARD 30 ROUND MAGAZINE. So according to the government they are not assault weapons and a 30 round magazine is standard NOT a high capacity magazine,

An AR15 is a wonderful home protection weapon. It is light. It has a mild kick. It is easier to shoot accurately than a handgun or a heavier rifle. It is an especially good home defense choice for a woman because of these features.

There is no reason to keep adults between 18 and 21 from having these personal protection weapons. The AR15 has been available for civilian purchase since 1964 and is the most popular rifle sold in the U.S. There are millions of them in private hands. Very few of them are ever used in a crime. In fact, according to the FBI rifles of all kinds are used in fewer murders than knives.

The AR15 is not the problem. The leftists have demonized it and people who don’t know any better fall for it because it looks like a military weapon. The truth is I don’t know of a single country that uses the AR15 as their military weapon.

Don’t fall for the BS the leftists spews. Their goal isn’t safety. It’s control.

"Further tell me why a student under 21 yrs. old needs a 'fast firing' gun?"

* Lawrence of Arabia asks, "Why does anyone need a fast firing gun?"

* Why do 18-year-old soldiers need them?

* Why do 18-year-old police need them?

* Why should we want a few hundred thousand young men and women self-trained in advance in rifle marksmanship without paying tax dollars to have the government do it for them?

[Clue: insurance against foreign invasion, which would be far more likely after a foreign enemy nation launches nukes.] Young folks, on average, can run much farther and faster with fewer injuries. I fired far better on the ranges than most of the other soldiers because of previous self-training.

Why is that question even relevant, given that it's a constitutional matter? They're adults at 18. The Second Amendment is one of their human rights.

Secondarily and aside from the more important consideration mentioned above, some of them might need to try to defend their spouses and children in their homes against criminal invaders who are armed with fast firing weapons.
