Well, I don’t talk to very many people these days. However there are some subjects that I overhear, and have made a decision to speak up.
Like the person in our local pharmacy started complaining about the Governor taking milk out of the mouths of babies.
It wasn’t true. I happened to know that there had been no change to the WIC rules regarding milk. So I just flat out told the woman that it was not true and what the rule was.
I also pointed out that the citizens of Mo. had just voted no to a tax increase, and the legislature had to come up with a balanced budget.
I further suggested that she should write her legislators and let them know her better solution, if she had one, rather than complaining and using the Governor as a scapegoat.
This was in a room full of people-we were all waiting for our meds - sitting in chairs, and not feeling that great.
She shut up and no one else said a word.
Blessings! Good for you!
I speak up (OR) SPEAK OUT, TOO.
I’m long past sitting silently while complainers lie about their grievances.
