I love my job and my president - he motivates me to get up and work every day, even though I could be retired.

Yes crying because she didn’t get gold or silver. They just showed close-ups of her eyes. She’s wearing fake eyelashes. Very obvious. Wow...I never expected that!
She just said “I am so proud to ski for my country”, and that was as close to politics she got. I don’t care how she personally feels about Pres. Trump, I think her purpose has been served. I’m a fan, and I’m not even allowed on a ski hill (lifetime ban issued in eighth grad by big brother-I always got stuck with the cross country skis. )
Further chit chat about being one of Sven kids in a poor family-we had to share three pairs of downhill skis and two cross country. Thank God I was the only one with my very own skates, and Mom said I didn’t have to share! Little feet bonus!

Have yet to ski Montana. Colorado has been our destination with one trip to Lake Tahoe. Now that is some beautiful scenery.

I don’t care either how she “personally” feels about Trump. Problem is, she chose to make her “personal” thoughts very PUBLIC, which made them no longer personal, right? She is an Olympic skier, not a political pundit and she crossed the line, along with any other athlete performing for ALL of the USA, who chose to PUBLICLY degrade the POTUS.
Agree. Keep the politics out. This is supposed to be about athletes proudly showing off their years of dedication to bring home personal and country glory. I for one forget the country side when I see the skill displayed to earn the gold.
I cheer on the non political Americans and hope they win but also,recognize there are others who other individuals who happen to have been born in a different part of the world who are the best.

I am rooting against Vonn, specifically, yes. I think once she and Ted Liger (?) skipped that team event, they should have been barred from the downhill, and alternates put in their places.
I'm 59 and very much looking forward to my annual ski trip to Utah with my son next week. Skiing can be done until well into the senior years. I have been biking for a couple of months to help get me ready.
Glad to see LV only got a bronze, though I hoped she would get nothing. It was sickening how the network slobbered all over her.
Yeah, it was really classy how she was hocking loogies at the top of the hill as she was preparing for her run knowing full well that there was a camera in her face. She is gross.
Ever since Smith and Carlos raised their “Black Power” fists from the award dais the Olympics started losing their aura of a patriotic striving for excellence.
I haven’t watched a second of it.
