Correct, it depends very much on the person. Some our loud and proud and produce little or no odor, others are silent and deadly.

Years ago, I worked on an assembly line when smoking anywhere was AOK. Very smelly and my pleas for a little better smoking etiquette (step away from your work station) went unheeded. So one day, I came to work having eaten onion soup which produced the silent but deadly form of flatulence.

A truce was agreed and we went on with our work without the offensive odors.
