Let's see. I can buy a widget made in China that will last nine years for $14. Or I can buy a similar widget made in the USA that will last 10 years for $59. Whatever shall I do. A few years ago, I neaded a new toaster, but almost all of the toasters on the market were made in China. I finally found an English toaster, but it cost $200 as opposed to $19 for the Chinese one, so I went out and bought the damn Chinese toaster.
