I am always fascinated by how different languages represent animal sounds. “Wang wang”, just doesn’t sound right for a dog to my ears, but hey, 1.3 billion Chinese can’t be wrong.

In South America, or at least Peru, a rooster’s crow isn’t pronounced as “cocka-doodle-doo” but rather something similar to the old song La Paloma’s cooka-cooka-roo”. Sum ‘tings are rost in tranration I suppose.
