Six-shot revolvers are easy to make.
Ammo is tougher to make, but the Confederate States of America ran on horse urine and manure-made gunpowder.
Guns aren’t going away.
Control freaks have failed utterly to eliminate recreational drugs after more than 100 years of trying.
This may be better, actually:

Gives you a nice list of them.
It just goes to show that sometimes you can agree with a liberal, if only on your favorite flavor of ice cream.
“public schools have become a 19th century paradigm that outlived its usefulness in the early 21st century.”
I think there might be a need for public schools up to the fourth grade.
We should try phasing out high schools.

Well, in this case we are agreeing on a NON-liberal perspective. These will be gold if she ever tries to run for POTUS.
“Every day 3,300 people are killed in car wrecks here in the US.”
I think it is around 32,000 per year.
The 3,300 figure might be the number of injuries, but I don’t know.
Have you checked out https://www.khanacademy.org/
With just that site alone, the need for early years completely evaporates. And there are so many home schooling curriculum out there now that there is really no ACADEMIC reason for public schools to exist.
Sure, if you have bad parents you won’t do too well. But is that not already how it is?
How about managing/parenting the risk itself, the temper tantrum kids doing this crap??
Free donuts and coffee in the principal’s office.
I bet law enforcement people will stop by often.
Centralized schools are too expensive. The admin costs now dwarf school costs. Socialism at it worst.
Amen, brother!

Junior has to be able to read.
My neighbor is a third-grade teacher.
She has complained that many of her charges can’t read when they first walk into her classroom.
She has to earn her pay.
I remember I had always really wanted to read. In first grade (1962) there was one class that I really didn’t like. It was the first class I didn’t like, btw. Turns out it was reading, and I didn’t even know that was what it is. But it got easy really fast.
How can third graders not know how to read? It is a foundational skill. It’s best to start with a foundation.
There is a very powerful segment of society that vomits the same tired talking points but the reality is they want to do nothing. Actually these events are prime for opportuning upon on crisis and expanding power and agenda. It’s quite sickening. It is so absurd that the party that murders babies as the Nazi murdered the Jew really has any care for the living child in a school.
