The Apple devices are locked down and are 256 bit AES encrypted with only the user in possession of the encryption key, but the vast majority of Android devices are not encrypted at all unless the user opts to get a third party encryption app.

Hmmm, Blackberry devices use Android. I wonder if they modify the version of Android or add on more privacy/encryption.

Only the newer Blackberry devices are using Android. The previous Blackberry operating system was proprietary and more secure. It had been the government’s standard issue device.
